There are certain situations that seem to bring time to a stop, and I don’t mean in a "wow this is kiss is intense and I hope it lasts forever" kind of way.

As consumer-mas rapidly approaches, I find myself being bombarded on a daily basis from family to send them a gift list.

…Mom

It’s amazing that nature can spawn a storm that seemingly has a personal grudge against Florida. Fay seems determined to drench every square inch of Florida in it’s rains. Or maybe, our sunny peninsula put in a personal request to big momma Nature to help ease the drought we have been in here in the south for the past couple of years and this is Mom’s way of saying, “yeah, I got the message.”

…the Florida Capitol Complex

Every state should have a seat of government to be proud of. Florida’s Capitol Complex in Tallahassee (when we last visited Spain several people were under the impression that Miami is the Capitol of Florida and for better or worse this is not the case) fits the bill. Combining the grace and grandeur of the old south with the angles of modern architecture, Florida’s Capitol surely competes with even the most elegant of state structures.
